Hosted by Fort Wayne Linux Users Group

Join us to learn how to mine Monero using xmrstak, a free and open-source mining program for Monero, Aeon and other Cryptonote algorithm cryptocurrencies. We will be using an Ubuntu 16.04 variant as our operating system and we will walk you through the steps of AMD graphics card driver setup, installation of dependencies, and installation and setup of xmrstak. We will configure the miner to connect to a mining pool and discuss how to choose a pool and port. The presenter will briefly discuss how mining has changed since his initial foray in 2017 and what he has learned. We will have a Q&A at the end, but this is for information purposes only.
