The Portland Shogi Club is open to all who want to learn and play the Japanese game of Shogi, their national variant of chess. Shogi is a rich, complex and very fun game steeped in centuries of Japanese tradition. If you like chess, games, Japanese culture or just generally working your brain, we invite you to join us. All levels are welcome and we have experienced players and many other resources to help you improve your game or just learn the very basics.
