V2C: A generic voice to command protocol and proof-of-concept implementation.
When you walk into a computer lab, you expect certain peripherals to work immediately without unnecessary setup. You sit down at the machine and get to work, your keyboard and mouse work pretty much immediately. Unfortunately, those with physical disabilities that, for example, confine them to a mobile chair often have problems using these provided devices. V2C is a protocol and implementation, designed by members of the University of Central Oklahoma's fall class of 2020, that provides an alternate solution: the ability to control any application on any set of computers with one's voice, with minimal continual configuration.
