Hosted by SCaLE 20x Outdoor 'Fringe'
Tweet ShareLet's celebrate Linux and FOSS in the open air, with a communi-tea party alongside SCaLE 20x. Arlington Gardens is a communal garden in Pasadena that is a perfect setting for an informal tea with new and old friends. Tea, scones, and light bites provided - just bring your lovely selves. Fancy hats always welcome. The event is 'free as in tea,' though donations are welcome to offset costs for food, drink, and supplies.
Please click on 'Attend' or 'Maybe' in the drop down menu if you will (or might) be there! This will help me know how much tea and goodies to get, though we have a limit of 20 guests. Also, please let me know if you have any dietary restrictions, either through a comment or at mayhens@gmail.com - I will do my very best to have treats for everyone, ideally from local businesses.
Arlington Garden has parking available, and can be reached by public transit and rideshare. If you want to carpool with other SCaLE-adjacent people, feel free to ask about - or offer! - a ride in the comments.

Hope to make it, might be otherwise occupied, will have to see when it gets closer.
Hello everyone! So excited to be hosting a FOSSy tea party in person, and to have a way for us to get together outdoors during SCaLE. Gluten-containing and non-vegan scones are coming from Rose Tree Cottage (https://rosetreecottage.com/), as are the tea and other tea-time nibbles. To go with the nibbles, we'll have marmalade made from Arlington Garden's own oranges! Gluten-free and vegan scones will come from Valentine's Sweets (https://www.valentinesweets.com/), with some pre-packaged nut and gluten free options for extra accessibility. Besides tea, we'll have some delicious presses - basically, sparkling water plus yummy cordials like elderflower, rose, and blackcurrant.
