Free astronomy event. The Tx Astronomical Society has been hosting free public observing events in Frisco for nearly 20 years on the 2nd Saturday of each month.

If the weather is good (and the skies are clear) come on out for a great view of whatever is easy to find.

In January, we expect to find Jupiter, Saturn, Venus and Mars. Normally I talk bad about Mars, but it's looking really great lately!

If we can get some really good scopes, we might get Uranus and Neptune -- they'll be visible but challenging.
