Hosted by Code for Berlin
Tweet ShareWelcome to the Berlin Open Knowledge Lab. We are a group of people interested in Open Data and Civic Tech. We usually meet once a week to develop technological and political solutions in a smaller round.
Once a month we invite an expert to give a talk about an Open Data or Civic Tech topic that they specialise in. Because of the COVID pandemic, these talks take place online. We will gather at https://bbb.ulm.dev/b/ok-lab-berlin
This week we will have André and Sebastian in the Lab to tell us more about LiaScript. The goal of LiaScript was to create a simple language for those who want to create free and interactive educational content, but who have little or no programming knowledge. LiaScript therefore extends Markdown in numerous ways such as multimedia, quizzes, animations and automatic speech output, interactive programming, data-driven publishing and much more. But, courses are still normal Markdown documents that can read, extended, and hosted by everyone. Sebastian will report on the use of LiaScript for teaching programming at the TU Bergakademie in Freiberg, while André will explain some backgrounds of the implementation and will give a live performance ;-)
