Hosted by Code for Berlin
Tweet ShareWelcome to the Berlin Open Knowledge Lab. We are a group of people interested in Open Data and Civic Tech. We usually meet once a week to develop technological and political solutions in a smaller round.
Once a month we invite an expert to give a talk about an Open Data topic that they specialise in. Because of the COVID pandemic, these talks take place online. We will gather at https://bbb.ulm.dev/b/ok-lab-berlin.
This month, Knut will tell us more about the jedeschule.de project and the biggest update to the data yet. jedeschule.de makes all of Germany's schools available in one central public data source and - since this release - one API. Knut will introduce us to the history of the project as well as the recent developments. jedeschule.de is an open source project and is looking for contributors. A big part of the project involves web-scraping with Python but we have also started building a REST-API to make it easier to consume the data. If this sounds like a project that you might want to get involved in as a developer or data consumer, also join us for the technical introduction.
If you have any questions do not hesitate to contact us beforehand. We will get back to you shortly.
