We meet at 6:30pm on the second Tuesday of each month at the Farmington Community Library.
Flask (Python Web Framework)
Building a website used to be so easy. All you needed was a LAMP stack (Linux, Apache, MySQL, and Perl) to get going. But things got complex. For a while it felt like everyone was re-inventing ways to put web pages onto web sites. Why couldn't it be small and simple again? In this talk we'll discuss Flask, a Python Micro Web Framework. We'll start by positioning it within the web ecosystem and briefly comparing it to Django. Next we'll dive into building a web application using Flask. Starting simple we'll proceed to introduce templates, forms, user sessions, and finish up with error handling. We'll conclude with next steps and interesting adjacent areas.

Plus we'll have our regular features: Jobs Looking for People, People Looking for Jobs, and much more! We'll also be meeting for dinner at the Buddy's Pizza in Novi (44225 W 12 Mile Road, Novi, MI 48377) after the meeting.
