Jupyter Notebooks are a modern, live, dynamic tool for computation and exploration. They are modern equivalents to Mathematica, except that they support almost any language and even allow you to build a GUI on top of your Notebook. As Jupyter Notebooks have grown in popularity and use, a large ecosystem of tools has grown around them.
Wolf will show what Jupyter Notebooks are, how to use them, where they can execute, what they can do, tools around them, and their pros and cons. He'll show cool use-cases for Notebooks including literate programming, writing books, building packages, and more. He'll also show how to look at Notebooks in some read-only environments; and when not read- only, how to interact with them live, both running locally and remotely.
Plus we'll have our regular features: Jobs Looking for People, People Looking for Jobs, and much more!
