Tweet ShareThe Free Software Stammtisch is a social environment for GNU, Linux, *BSD and Free Software enthusiasts. We start arriving at 19:00 and hang out until at least 22:00, with several of us often there until closing time.
There are quarterly ( Januaries, Aprils, Julys and Octobers ) jobs nights before Stammtisch starting at 18:00.
Getting to know others ( networking ) has always been part of Stammtisch ( the conference hallway track without the conference ). The Jobs Nights events came about due for requests for a more directed approach to job networking from both hiring employers and those seeking new jobs. It was therefore natural to create standalone events that merge into Stammtisch.
Januaries and Julys host resume events while Aprils and Octobers have jobs networking events.
It's December and time for our annual end of year pot luck. Bring friends and family. It's a pot luck, so bring some food or drinks to share if you can. It's a holiday party, meaning we'll likely have tons of snacks and deserts. This presents an opportunity to bring a main course, salad or veggie side dish. Or, cupcakes or pie if you prefer :). We still meet at Desert Breeze. Since we're eating for the party, we will not go out to a restaurant afterwards. No alcohol. As always, we're on the 2nd Thursday of the month.
